Elk Rapids Rolls Grayling, Extends Shutout Streak to Six Games

ELK RAPIDS – Elk Rapids hosted Grayling in a Lake Michigan Conference matchup, with the Elks shutting out the Vikings in mercy fashion 8-0 on Monday night.

The win marks the sixth consecutive shutout game for Elk Rapids this season.

The Elks’ offensive attack was spread out between seven players. Mason Travis scored once and added three assists, Nolan Caroll and Spencer Ball led the team with two goals a piece, while Jared Barcenas, Alex Smith and Noah Hilley all scored. Fisher Bogard added on assist to the state sheet as well.

The Elks improve to 6-3-3 and see Boyne City on Wednesday, Sept. 15.

Grayling falls to 4-5 and will head to Harbor Springs in its next matchup on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
