The Bulldogs (4-1, 3-1 Great Lakes East) held a 7-0 lead after a quarter, with the two teams tied at 14-14 at the half.
Rudyard travels to Munising next Friday while Newberry (4-1, 3-1 Great Lakes East) host Superior Central.
