Lake Superior State Volleyball Takes Down Purdue Northwest
SAULT STE. MARIE – After dropping the first set, the Lake Superior State volleyball team won three straight sets on their way to a 3-1 victory over GLIAC opponent Purdue Northwest at home Saturday afternoon.
The Lakers lost the first set in a close one 26-24, but went on to take the next three 25-12, 25-16, 25-23.
With the win LSSU snaps a two-game losing streak, improving to 2-13 on the year and 2-5 in conference play.
Lake Superior State will head to Hammond, Ind. for the Midwest Regional Crossover tournament starting Friday, Oct. 15.
