Oscoda Forfeits Against McBain NMC in Boys Soccer District Final Due to Covid-19

OSCODA – The Oscoda Owls have forfeited Saturday’s district championship game against McBain NMC due to Covid-19 cases within the Owls program, according to an email from the McBain NMC Athletic Department.

The championship game was scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Due to the forfeit, McBain NMC will win the district championship and advance to regionals next Tuesday in Cadillac against North Muskegon.

McBain NMC and Oscoda met once during the regular season, a game the Comets won 6-0.

It was one of just two losses for the Owls during the regular season, as Oscoda will finish its season with a 16-3 record.

McBain NMC enters regional play with a record of 18-1-1.
