Boise State Pulls Out of The Arizona Bowl, CMU Seeks New Opponent
Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy announced on Monday that Boise State has pulled out of The Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl due to COVID-19 issues. The Broncos were set to play Central Michigan on Friday at 2 p.m. (EST) in Tucson, Ariz.
Portnoy tweeted that they are actively looking for a replacement. Washington State is reportedly a potential option for CMU to play in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. Their opponent, Miami (FL), dropped out of that bowl due to COVID-19 issues.
Breaking: @BroncoSportsFB has pulled out of @theARIZONABOWL due to too many players contracting covid. We are actively looking for a replacement. I suggest @WSUCougarFB does a poll of players whether they want to play in Az bowl or Sun Bowl.
