Boudon’s Hat Trick Lifts Lake Superior State Over Northern Michigan

SAULT STE. MARIE – Lake Superior State hockey earned a 4-1 win over Northern Michigan on Saturday night behind a three-goal performance from Louis Boudon.

Northern Michigan got on the board in the first minute of the game with a goal from Ben Newhouse.

But the Lakers scored four unanswered after that as Boudon scored to tie the game 1-1 and added two goals in the third period.

Jacob Nordqvist scored the other Laker goal on a power play in the third period.

Lake Superior State goaltender Seth Eisele stopped 14 of 15 shots faced.

With the win, Lake Superior State improves to 11-10-1 on the season and sweeps the weekend set against Northern Michigan. This was the last Lake Superior State game of the 2021 calendar year. The Lakers next games are at Bemidji State on Jan. 7th and 8th.
