Former TC West Standout Ryan Hayes Named All-Big Ten Second Team for Michigan
ANN ARBOR – Former Traverse City West standout and current University of Michigan offensive lineman Ryan Hayes has been named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
Hayes, a senior, has appeared in 11 games for the No. 2 Wolverines this season, helping them to an 11-1 record and a berth in Saturday’s Big Ten Championship game against No. 15 Iowa.
Hayes is one of five Michigan offensive players to be named to the All-Big Ten teams. Running back Hassan Haskins was the only First Team selection and Hayes was the only Second Team Selection.
Quarterback Cade McNamara, running back Blake Corum and offensive lineman Andrew Stueber were named to the All-Big Ten Third Team.
Michigan State had two offensive players named to All-Big Ten Teams. Running back Kenneth Walker III was named All-Big Ten First Team and wide receiver Jayden Reed was named All-Big Ten Third team.
Defensively, Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Hutchinson, linebacker David Ojabo and defensive back Dax Hill made the All-Big Ten First Team from Michigan.
Michigan State had one defensive player named All-Big Ten as defensive lineman Jacub Panasiuk was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
