Lake City Boys Basketball Team Goes Viral on Tik Tok

LAKE CITY — The Lake City boys basketball team came up with a unique idea, and it led them to go viral on Tik Tok, thanks to a share from ESPN.

“We didn’t think it’d blow up at all. We just wanted to make a TikTok because we’re all dressed up and prepared. And one thing led to another and boom,” said members of the varsity boys basketball team.

It all started on senior Gavin Bisablle’s TikTok account, where the video received over 167,000 views and 39,000 likes.

“Well at the first night it was like 200 likes. And then I woke up the next day and it was at like 10 thousand and I was like ‘holy smokes’,” said Bisballe.

But just when they thought it couldn’t get any better, ESPN commented on the video and asked to post it themselves. Then the Trojans became an internet sensation.

“We were like, ‘No way they actually wanted this. And then it was like five days later they posted it,” said the team.

Their video then racked up more than 340,000 likes and an incredible 3.4 million views on Sports Center’s Instagram account. And when asked if there will be any future content, the team’s response was — “Maybe we just keep it secret. Let’s just keep it a secret. No comment, co comment. If you wanna know, hit Gavin’s TikTok up.”
