St. Ignace Tops Gaylord in Non-Conference Battle

ST. IGNACE — The St. Ignace girls basketball team won its sixth straight game with a 49-41 victory over Gaylord on Tuesday at home.

Ally Schultz led the Saints with 31 points, including 11 free throws made in the second half. Avery Parker had 19 points for the Blue Devils with all 19 coming in the final three quarters.

The Saints improve to 9-2 with the win. They’ll look to keep it going at Cedarville-DeTour on Thursday.

Gaylord, who won eight of its first nine games, has now dropped two straight. They will look to bounce back at home against Cadillac on Thursday.
