TRAVERSE CITY — The Rick Deneweth Memorial North/South Showcase began on Thursday with a pair of overtime games in Traverse City. Big Rapids picked up a 2-1 overtime win over Davison, while Traverse City West lost to Mattawan in overtime, 5-4.
The tournament continues on Friday at Centre Ice Arena with games starting at 9:15 a.m. and going until 8:30 p.m. The local games include Big Rapids vs. Macomb Dakota at 1:30 p.m., Bay Reps vs. Lake Orion at 6:15 p.m. and Traverse City Central vs. Midland Dow at 8:15 p.m.
The tournament wraps on on Saturday.
