Harbaugh Will Reportedly Stay at Michigan

After interviewing for the Minnesota Vikings head coaching position on Wednesday, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh reportedly informed Michigan that he will return to the school for the 2022 season.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he told Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel that this would not be a re-occurring issue and he would stay at Michigan as long as it wants him.

Harbaugh completed his seventh and most successful season at Michigan this past year, leading the Wolverines to their first Big Ten Championship Game and College Football Playoff appearance. It also marked the first season that Michigan defeated rival Ohio State under Harbaugh.

Michigan is set to open up its season with four straight home games in September, starting with Colorado State on Sept. 3.
