Kingsley’s Peterson Signs with Grand Valley State for Football

KINGSLEY — Another Peterson is headed to Grand Valley State, as Kingsley’s Brett Peterson signed his letter of intent to play for the Lakers’ football program.

Peterson played tight end and linebacker for the Stags and expects to be used as a tight end for Grand Valley. He joins his two brothers, Cade and Drew, who both currently play for the Lakers as well.

He said he’s looking forward to being on the same team as them.

“I never got to play with either of them in high school so it’s going to be awesome. You know, playing in the backyard as a little young kid to going to play in college together so it’s going to be crazy. I’m looking forward to it though,” Peterson said. “I really appreciated everyone that came out and supported me along the way and obviously it showed when I was signing in there.”

Peterson earned All-State honors as a linebacker this past season, leading Kingsley to a 10-2 record.
