Michigan, Harbaugh Agree to Five-Year Contract

ANN ARBOR — Michigan announced on Wednesday that it has come to a new five-year contract agreement with head football coach Jim Harbaugh. The deal changes the terms and length of the contract extension he signed last year. It will run through 2026.

Harbaugh led Michigan to its first Big Ten Championship Game and first College Football Playoff appearance this past season, along with his first win over rival Ohio State as the Wolverines’ head coach. He received the AP Coach of the Year as well.

He will enter his eighth season with the Wolverines next year, after leading them to a 61-24 record during his first seven seasons.
