Ferris State Defeats SVSU, Advances to GLIAC Semifinals
BIG RAPIDS — The Ferris State women’s basketball team pulled away in the second half to defeat Saginaw Valley State in the GLIAC quarterfinals, 82-68, on Wednesday at home.
The Bulldogs held a 3-point lead at halftime and outscored the Cardinals by 11 in the second half. Adrienne Anderson led the team with 22 points, while Kadyn Blanchard added 21.
Ferris State advances to the GLIAC semifinals where the Bulldogs will face Wayne State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The semifinals and finals for women’s basketball will be held at Grand Valley State over the weekend. The Lakers will start Saturday’s games at 2 p.m. against Michigan Tech.
