MIAAA Presents $302,000 “Oxford Strong” Check to Oxford High School A.D.

TRAVERSE CITY — The Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) and E.A. Graphics presented a check worth $302,000 to Oxford High School athletic director Tony DeMare on Sunday. The funds were raised during the month of February for “Oxford Strong,” an effort to support the Oxford Community Schools after the deaths of four students during a shooting at the high school.

“Oxford Strong” had t-shirts and sweatshirts sold in communities around the state, and money from those sales were donated to Oxford High School student-athletes and their community.

“E.A. Graphics continues to be a strong supporter of Educational Athletics in Michigan and across the country.  Their commitment to the “Oxford Strong” initiative, schools and students is second to none,” MIAAA executive director Karen Leinaar said in the association’s press release. “The way that Bob Artymovich and his staff supported this cause was amazing, but not surprising if you know Bob or anyone else in this family or company. The MIAAA membership is so glad to call Bob Artymovich and E.A. Graphics a partner for “Oxford Strong” and all our students.”

The MIAAA held its annual conference in Traverse City, where the check was presented. There were more funds received as well, which pushes the donation to more than $310,000.
