Ferris State Holds Crimson and Gold Spring Football Game

BIG RAPIDS — Ferris State wrapped up its spring football practices with its Crimson and Gold game, with Crimson winning the exhibition, 47-33, on Friday.

The game had a fun atmosphere including some kicking contests and punt-catching contests. It also gave fans a glimpse at next year’s Ferris State football team after the Bulldogs won their first national title this past season.

“Our guys have been gritty. They come to work every day. The weather’s been like this virtually, you know, the whole time we’ve been out here. But, you know, we just are tough,” Ferris State head coach Tony Annese said. “And so people have said all of the time, ‘how are you going to repeat?’ And I tell my guys all of the time, you don’t repeat if you talk about repeating.”

Ferris State will begin their 2022 season at home on Sept. 1 against Central Washington.
