EAST LANSING — Unionville-Sebewaing ended Pickford’s historic postseason run with a 13-0 victory on Friday in the Division 4 state semifinal in softball.
The Panthers trailed 9-0 after three innings and had a tough time against USA’s pitcher Laci Harris, who finished the game with 10 strikeouts and allowed just one hit in the game.
Unionville-Sebewaing looks to win another state title when it takes on Ottawa Lake Whiteford in the Division 4 state championship on Saturday.
Pickford experienced one of the most successful seasons in program history. Prior to this season, the Panthers had never won a district title. They not only won a district title, but took home the regional title and made it all the way to East Lansing for the state semifinals.
