Pit Spitters Fall to Kenosha Kingfish 5-2 to Split Series

TRAVERSE CITY – The Pit Spitters fell short against the Kenosha Kingfish 5-2 on Thursday night at Turtle Creek Stadium.

The Kingfish took a 2-0 lead in the second inning and never trailed to earn a series split.

The Pit Spitters couldn’t get anything across until the fifth inning when Ariel Garcia scored on a wild pitch. Sam Tackett added an RBI single in the sixth to account for Traverse City’s other run.

Traverse City will remain at home for its next series, welcoming in the Wausau Woodchucks Friday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start.
