Former Red Wing Chris Chelios to Throw First Pitch at Pit Spitters Game

TRAVERSE CITY — Chris Chelios will be throwing the first pitch Thursday night for the Traverse City Pit Spitters’ hockey night. Chelios is a hall of famer who played 10 seasons with the Red Wings and won a pair of Stanley Cups with Detroit.

He is making the trip to Traverse City to promote his new tequila company.

“I’m looking forward to it,” said Chelios. “I have a lot of good friends up in Traverse City.”

He will be signing autographs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the first 1,000 fans will receive a Pit Spitters hockey puck.
