Glen Lake’s Grace Bradford Signs With LSSU for Basketball

GLEN LAKE – Former Glen Lake girls basketball standout Grace Bradford will be playing basketball for a different Lakers team this winter.

Bradford has signed to play collegiately at Lake Superior State.

Bradford helped lead Glen Lake to a state semifinal appearance this past season. She earned AP First Team All-State honors as a sophomore, junior and senior. She also earned AP All-State Honorable Mention as a freshman.

Bradford said she was drawn to Lake Superior State because the team atmosphere felt like a family.

“They reached out to me toward the beginning of my senior year and then after the season I went up and toured and then here we are. It is smaller up there but [the team] seemed like a family and that was a big thing for me,” Bradford said. “I was kind of nervous at first [when] we played, scrimmaging and stuff and did workouts up there. But playing with the team I just felt really comfortable and competitive to win.”

Glen Lake compled a record of 83-8 in Bradford’s four years of high school.
