Legends Football Camp Wraps Up in Clare

CLARE — The Legends Football Camp wrapped up this week after two years of absence due to COVID-19. The camp was instructed by 11 veteran NFL players including Jeff Chadwick, a former Detroit Lion and camp organizer.

“Our goal is to take a kid who might be a good ball player, and make him a better or even great player,” said Chadwick.

The camp was held at Brookwood Athletic Complex where the young athletes learned lessons that transpire on and off the turf.

“The O-line coaches, they most definitely helped me out,” said participant Orlando Howard. “They taught me a couple of new things.”

The camp concluded with an autograph session.

“I’ve seen, like a few NFL players here and there in camps and stuff, but not any like this many,” said participant Skyler Prout.
