Local Players Prepare for 2022 MHSSCA All-Star Games

Nearly two dozen local softball standouts will compete in the MHSSCA All-Star games on Wednesday at Davenport University.

The games for all four divisions will be live-streamed on MISportsNow.com and the free VU-it app.

Among the 2022 local competitors, Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart and Beaverton lead the way with three players each on the all-star rosters.

Beaverton’s Alexis Grove, Sawyer Gerow and Cadence Augustine will play for the Div. 3 white team.

Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart’s Natalie Jones, Anna Terwilliger and Laura Goenner will play for the Div. 4 white team.

“It’ll be nice to play with some of my closest teammates. I’ve played with them for the last four years, probably even longer if I looked back more,” Jones said. “But it’s also nice to be able to meet new teammates, play with new teammates and keep practicing for when I play this fall with Mid [Michigan College]. Now even going in to play softball for college, the hard work has definitely paid off pretty well.”
