Pit Spitters Top Chinooks for Fourth Straight Win

TRAVERSE CITY — The Pit Spitters returned home from the all-star break and secured an 8-1 win over the Chinooks on Thursday. Traverse City has now won four straight games and holds onto first place in their division in the second half of the season.

The Pit Spitters jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a 2-RBI single by Marshall Toole. They added five more runs in the seventh inning to build a solid 7-1 lead at the time.

The Pit Spitters will play the Chinooks again on Friday with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch at Turtle Creek Stadium.
