Elk Rapids Advances With 5-2 Win Over Grayling

ELK RAPIDS – The Elk Rapids Elks got a bit of a scare in their district opening game against Grayling but ultimately prevailed 5-2 on Thursday night.

The Elks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the contest and held that lead through halftime. However, the Vikings struck for two goals early in the second half to close to within a goal before Elk Rapids pulled away.

With the win, Elk Rapids (14-7-2) advances to face Kalkaska in the District Semifinal on Tuesday night in Elk Rapids.  Grayling finishes the season with a record of 9-12-1.
