Gladwin Inches Closer to Jack Pine Title With Sweep of Shepherd

GLADWIN – The Gladwin Flying G’s are one step closer to clinching their first Jack Pine volleyball championship since 1978 thanks to a 3-0 sweep over Shepherd Wednesday night.

The Flying G’s are in first place in the conference with about a week to go in the regular season.

Gladwin won the three sets over Shepherd by scores of 25-10, 26-24 and 25-13.

Shepherd’s next match is a Jack Pine Conference quad on Oct. 26 against Beaverton, Clare and Harrison.

Gladwin will also play a Jack Pine Conference quad on Oct. 26. The Flying G’s will face Farwell, Pinconning and Sanford Meridian.
