LSSU Volleyball Finds a Win After Long Drought

SAULT STE. MARIE — Lake Superior State volleyball swept the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. This is the first Lakers win after 14 straight losses.

LSSU took all three sets by five or more points (25-16, 25-20, 25-19).

The Lakers excelled in both offense and defense, leading in kills (Mariana Velasque-16), blocks (Emilee McDaniel-3) and digs (Sydney Briney and Ally Lasley-11).

The team plays at home again on Sunday, Oct. 9 against Grand Valley State.
