Newberry Shuts Out Pickford in 8-Player Football

PICKFORD – The Newberry Indians improved to 7-1 on the season with a 41-0 win over Pickford on Thursday night.

The victory was the 200th in the career of Newberry head coach Joe Austin.

Newberry has scored 30 or more points in every game this season except for the 14-0 week two loss to Munising.

With the loss, Pickford falls to 5-3 on the season. The Panthers will hope to bolster their playoff resume in the season finale against Cedarville-DeTour (5-2) on Oct. 21.

Newberry will wrap up the regular season against Engadine on Oct. 21.
