Ferris State Beats Ashland 75-69 at Thanksgiving Classic
BIG RAPIDS – The Ferris State Bulldogs used a big second half to top visiting Ashland 75-69 on Wednesday night. With the win, Ferris State finishes its FSU Thanksgiving Classic with a 2-0 mark, the Bulldogs first two home wins of the season.
Ben Davidson led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Solomon Oraegbu netted 14 points and Dolapo Olayinka chipped in with 11 for the Bulldogs (4-2).
Ashland (2-3) had four players in double figures, led by Brandon Haraway with 15.
The Eagles held a 33-31 lead at the half, and led by as much as 8 in the second half, but Ferris State was able to out-score them in the second half, 44-36, to pull away for the win.
The Bulldogs will start GLIAC play next Thursday, December 1st, when they host rival Grand Valley State.
