About Our Team
Joe Buczek is the Senior Digital Content Producer at 9&10 News. He joined Northern Michigan’s Sports Leader in July 2015.
Prior to joining 9&10 News, Joe served as Sports Editor of The Leader and Kalkaskian and the Grand Traverse Insider. He also worked as a sportswriter for The Morning Sun (Mt. Pleasant), The Oakland Press (Pontiac) and State Champs! Network (Southfield). He also spent time serving as Assistant Sports Information Director at Northern Michigan University and Central (Iowa) College.
Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, Joe graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2011.
When he’s not working, Joe can be found cataloging his extensive sports card collection, reading or on a pickleball court.
Greg Miller is the Sports Department Photojournalist for 9&10 News. He started with Northern Michigan’s Sports Leader as a summer intern in 2003, and has been a fixture on high school sidelines ever since, covering everything from football and basketball to wrestling and skiing (and everything in between).
Miller is a truly “local” product. He is a Central Michigan University alum, and graduated from Suttons Bay High School in Leelanau County.
He’s (obviously) an avid sports fan, and when he’s not out at a game he enjoys reading, writing, telling jokes and listening to music. You can email Greg at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Matthew Doyle is the Sports Director at 9&10 News. He joined 9&10 News in February 2016 as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.
Before coming to Cadillac, Michigan, Matthew worked for Fox 31 in Albany, Georgia, as a Sports Anchor/Reporter, where he enjoyed covering sports in SEC Country. He grew up in Wadsworth, Ohio, and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he studied journalism at the nationally-recognized E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Ohio has been home for Matthew for as long as he remembers, but he was born in Lansing, Michigan, where he lived for three years.
Joey DeBerardino is a Sports Anchor/Reporter for 9&10 News. Joey joined Northern Michigan’s News Leader in June of 2020.
Before coming to Cadillac, he went to school at Central Michigan University, where he majored in broadcasting and spent all four years as a sports anchor for the campus news station as well as covering games with the school’s sports network.
Prior to his graduation in May 2020, Joey also held two internships at WDIV in Detroit and NBC 25 and FOX 66 in Flint.
When he’s not working, you can find Joey still watching sports on TV and following all of his favorite teams. Joey also loves kayaking, hiking, spending a day at the lake, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

He also interned in the sports department at KMIZ-TV, the ABC affiliate in mid-Missouri.
