About Our Team
Joe Buczek is the MISportsNow Managing Editor. He joined Northern Michigan’s Sports Leader in July 2015.
Prior to joining 9&10 News, Joe served as Sports Editor of The Leader and Kalkaskian and the Grand Traverse Insider. He also worked as a sportswriter for The Morning Sun (Mt. Pleasant), The Oakland Press (Pontiac) and State Champs! Network (Southfield). He also spent time serving as Assistant Sports Information Director at Northern Michigan University and Central (Iowa) College.
Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, Joe graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2011.
Greg Miller is the Sports Department Photojournalist for 9&10 News. He started with Northern Michigan’s Sports Leader as a summer intern in 2003, and has been a fixture on high school sidelines ever since, covering everything from football and basketball to wrestling and skiing (and everything in between).
Miller is a truly “local” product. He is a Central Michigan University alum, and graduated from Suttons Bay High School in Leelanau County.
He’s (obviously) an avid sports fan, and when he’s not out at a game he enjoys reading, writing, telling jokes and listening to music. You can email Greg at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Matthew Doyle is the Sports Director at 9&10 News. He joined 9&10 News in February 2016 as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.
Before coming to Cadillac, Michigan, Matthew worked for Fox 31 in Albany, Georgia, as a Sports Anchor/Reporter, where he enjoyed covering sports in SEC Country. He grew up in Wadsworth, Ohio, and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he studied journalism at the nationally-recognized E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Ohio has been home for Matthew for as long as he remembers, but he was born in Lansing, Michigan, where he lived for three years.
Megan Viecelli is the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. Megan joined Northern Michigan’s News Leader as an intern in May 2016, just weeks after graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
As a college student, she enjoyed the opportunity to travel to many states to meet coaches and players from various Big Ten schools, but her favorite place in the world will always be on the sidelines at the Big House.
At 9&10 News, she quickly became a news producer, and continues to grow in the company by taking on a new adventure: sports anchor and reporter.
Megan has always been outgoing and has a great compassion for others. She is beyond excited to share the stories of Northern Michigan athletes.
When she’s not talking about sports on television, you’ll probably find her talking about them to family and friends, and forever arguing with any Ohio State fan she comes across. Megan also enjoys traveling, reading and eating whatever she can get her hands on.
Cassidy Cobb is the Sports Reporter/Producer for 9&10 News. Cassidy joined Northern Michigan’s News Leader in April of 2018.
Before coming to Cadillac, she went to school at Central Michigan University (Fire Up Chips!), where she majored in broadcasting and spent all four years working on the campus sports shows, news broadcasts, and covering games.
After graduating in May of 2017, she worked in her hometown of Grand Rapids at Fox 17 as a weekend morning producer. Even though she loved producing, her real passion was for sports and bringing viewers the highlights and stories of the night.
Cassidy has always loved visiting Northern Michigan and is now happy to call the area home.
When she’s not working, you can find her still watching games on TV or visiting any ballpark, field, or arena she can get to. She also loves going to the gym, the beach, being around her friends and family, and playing with her dog, Miggy.
